TrailBlazer AI Privacy Policy

TrailBlazer AI (“we”, “us”) is an AI outdoor hiking information tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: We use Sign in with Apple to authenticate you. We receive your Apple ID and display name. We do not independently store your real Apple email address.

Trip and DNA data: Trail briefs you generate, Post-Trail DNA ratings, and trip history are stored in a Supabase database row-locked to your Apple ID using Row-Level Security — only you can access them.

AI request metadata: We log the timestamp, call duration, and error code of each AI request for service quality monitoring. Your destination and difficulty inputs are not persistently stored — they are forwarded to our self-hosted LLM gateway (newapi.zweiteng.tk) per request and immediately discarded.

Location: Only when you explicitly tap “Use My Location” does the app read your GPS coordinates. Those coordinates are never uploaded to a server — they are used solely on-device to set the tile pack download center point.

Subscription status: We receive your subscription tier (paid/free) via RevenueCat to gate features. Full payment details are never stored by us.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Power AI Trail Brief, Risk Grade, offline maps, and DNA personalization
• Monitor service health and errors (via Sentry crash reporting, no personal content)
• Send necessary account and service notifications (not marketing)

We do not: sell your data; send personal information to third-party AI model providers; target advertising; share data across apps without your consent.

3. AI Data Processing

All AI inference (Trail Brief generation, Risk Grade calculation) is routed through our self-hosted LLM gateway (newapi.zweiteng.tk). Your request content is not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, or any third-party model provider’s public API, and is never used for model training.

4. Offline Maps (Mapbox)

Tile Pack downloads use the Mapbox SDK. Mapbox may log your IP address for download requests under its service agreement. Downloaded tile data is stored on your device only. See Mapbox Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your trip and DNA data is stored in Supabase (AWS us-east-1), with TLS/SSL encrypted transport and AES-256 encryption at rest. Row-Level Security ensures only your Apple account can read or write your data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at App → Profile → Account settings → Delete account. We permanently remove all your data from our servers within 30 days (GDPR Article 17).

7. Children’s Privacy

TrailBlazer AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
